FAQQ.Is it free to use?
Yes, the core features are free to use. We also offer a Pro plan (monthly or one-time purchase) that unlocks more items and a larger family group, among other perks.
Q.Do I need to create an account?
No email address or password required. You can use the app with just the restore code the app generates automatically.
Q.How many family members can share?
Up to 3 members on the free plan, and up to 10 on the Pro plan. Anyone can join just by entering the invite code.
Q.Where is my data stored?
Your data is stored securely in the Google Firebase cloud. When you switch devices, your restore code carries your data over.
Q.Is linking with Alexa required?
No, Alexa linking is entirely optional. Every feature works fine using the app on its own.
Q.How do I link with Amazon Alexa?
- In the KAETAO app, go to "Family & Settings" → "Alexa Integration."
- Tap "Link with the Alexa App." The Alexa app opens, and linking is complete once you return.
- If that doesn't work, open the "KAETAO" skill in the Alexa app, tap "Settings" → "Link Account," and enter the 6-digit code (valid for 10 minutes) on the page that appears.
Once linked, you can check your item status by voice — for example, say "Alexa, open change reminder" (the exact wake phrase depends on your Alexa app's language setting).
