Delete Account

KAETAO lets you request deletion of your account and associated data directly within the app. Follow the steps below to delete your account.

How to Delete Your Account

Open the KAETAO app
Tap the "Settings" tab at the bottom of the screen
Scroll down to the "Account Actions" section
Tap "Delete Account"
Tap "Delete" in the confirmation dialog

Data That Will Be Deleted

Deleting your account immediately removes all of the following data.

Type of Data	Deletion Timing
User account (display name, authentication information)	Immediate
Registered item data (names, exchange intervals, etc.)	Immediate
Exchange records	Immediate
Restore code (authentication code)	Immediate
Alexa link code	Automatically invalidated after expiration (10 minutes)

Please note: Account deletion cannot be undone. Data cannot be recovered after deletion. If you belong to a family group, the group's shared item data will remain with the group.

Data That Is Retained

No data is retained after account deletion, with one exception:

If you belonged to a family group, the group's shared item data is retained for the other members (it contains no personally identifiable information)
